unless he brought the football on the spaceship completely deflated, then in the near vacuum of the moon, the small ammount of air left in the football would expand it to a normal size. O.o

The saddest part is that since he wears glasses, he’ll never be an astronaut. NASA requires 20/20 vision in astronauts.
I think the problem is that in the first panel he threw the ball with his left hand while for the remainder of the comic he is right-handed. He could’ve saved himself the humiliation from the get go by simply throwing with his dominant hand. Just sayin’.
